Beautiful model, with a brilliant camouflage scheme that is very
well executed. Really love this model.

Aviation
Archive collection, Battle of Britain, Commemorating 60 Years.
A great addition to Corgi's Bf 109E series. Eleven different paint
schemes have been offered in the series, and if this isn't necessarily
the best (after all, it's in the eye of the beholder), it is at least
my favorite. Wished I could have collected all eleven, but my collecting
career has been too short. To get these models now would cost an arm
and a leg (and perhaps a few parts in between).
Lay it on.
The paint on the model is well applied and deliciously colored. The
national insignia and unit markings are crisp and well placed.
Lay it out.
The mould used in this series is right on. No one gets as close as
Corgi to the correct shape and size of the fuselage, wings, and tail.
Compare
this model to the Dragon Wings' version of the 109E.
Can we ask for more?
Yes. I hope Corgi continues this series in 2006 (there were no 1/72
scale 109E's in 2005). |
