Aviation Archive collection.
Going by the part number, I assume this is Corgi's first Zero. The
copyright date on the box is 2001, so modelwise, the basic mold
is ancient history. Panel lines are heavy, the canopy has very heavy
bracing, and the piece of metal that makes up the belly of the plane
curves this way and that, up and over and down, as it fits over
both the wing and horizontal tail. The effect is to make this small
model appear rather bulky and busy-looking. Suprisingly, it is nonetheless
very photogenic. Corgis from this era have a certain relaxing effect.
You feel like holding this one at arms length and humming...
Mix & Match. I photographed this
model with a Witty A6M3.
