Archive - Tuskegee
Airmen . A lovely to look at, well done
model, which has gloss red in very interesting places, like landing
gear struts and gear doors. This was Corgi's sixth Mustang, and the
first polished version of that type. Of course, we all know that polishing
is not the best idea because the metal oxidizes and also picks up
skin oils. As well, on most of these Mustangs the engine cover (made
of thick, heavy zinc) falls off if the model is turned over. This
could result in damage and always results in screams of agony! Anyway,
a great model, and one of Corgi's best Mustangs. |
