43-6819 - Capt. Duane W. "Bee" Beenson (sic), Commanding
Officer, 4th FG/336th FS, Debden, Essex, 1944 |

Archive. Well, you can't own just one or
two, you've got to get the whole set. I know that's toy-soldier thinking,
or waterline-fleet thinking, but having one of each of these B's has
become an obsession. Don't know why, but it may be because of an in-house
shortage of Valium, or maybe a touch of hypoglycemia. Anyway, the
commitment (double meaning, double meaning) has been made.
Another breakout.
However, another ugly Corgi pimple
has popped up, this one on both the box and the collector's card.
The name is not Beenson, it is BEESON. Beeson,
BEESON, B-E-E-S-O-N. Arghhh. You can see how a shortage of Valium
has become critical at this juncture.
Can you imagine Hornby executives ceremoniously (and fictionally)
offering a complete set of Beenson
models to the Beeson family? It would be like offering a complete
set of Stanford Tush models to the Stanford Tuck family! Wake up Hornby:
PURGE THE PIMPLES! |
