Another green machine. All these D's have pretty much much the same
build quality, though the paint was a bit nicer on this Legends copy.
See how even the gluers at the factory had a hard time getting the
landing gear to stay at the correct angle; its those inadequate pegs.
Newer are nicer. The
mold for these Thunderbolts shows its age when compared to even Skymax
models (which are the current low-priced leaders). The more modern
molds have excellent landing gear attachments, better canopy/fuselage
fit, and generally better paint and assembly quality. It would be
nice if Hobby Master or Skymax would produce a more modern mold of
the P-47D in this scale. (The Dragon version of the D had too many
loose-parts problems to be a happy alternative.) |
