Archive. Nice version of Corgi's interpretation of the P-51D,
with the usual flaws in the nose, landing gear, and tail assembly
(however, the wings ARE nice). Colors are great, and assembly is well
done except, as is usual, in the landing gear. It seems that, in most
of the Corgi D's, the little gear doors glued to the extended mains
are a bit crooked. In addition, on virtually all copies, the starboard-side
struts toe out . Any way, the model dates from 2001, so it's all water
under the bridge. However, maybe these imperfections would be enough
to convince Corgi to design a new P-51D mold, mmmmm? Mmmmm? I know,
I know -- fat chance... |
