Collectibles.
Ahh, at last someone in my collecting life-time produced a Navy
fighter other than the Corsair. This is a richly colored model with
fine lines and an accurate shape.
However, I wish they
had left the rockets off the wings, and would find a better solution
than paint for the windows behind the canopy. The windows were painted
because the -3 version had windows and the -5 did not, which allows
them to use the same mold for both versions. Really, the painted
windows look kinda cheap.

American F-86 Sabre, Col. Francis "Gabby" Gabreski |

Collectibles . This
version of the Sabre doesn't have much going for it. For some reason
the wings and fuselage seem heavy-handed, and the paint scheme is,
well, ugly. The paint JOB is excellent, but that good quality gets
lost in the overall scheme. I tried to get the version with the
yellow and black markings, but was too late. Compare
this plane with the MiG-15. What a difference in size.

P-40E Warhawk |

Collectibles
. Good model with a fine paint job and an accurate shape. The folded
landing gear is neat, but someone at the factory applied a little
to much glue to the gear doors. Also, the canopy fits loosely.
It would be nice to have a P-40E model painted in
the standard Army Air Corp paint scheme of 1941 before the introduction
of the war-time spectacular paint jobs.

Collectibles . Very
pretty model with an excellent paint job. Much more attractive than
its Fokker
Dr. 1 counterparts.
