- 240th IAP, Eastern Front, April 1944, "Ivan Kozhedub"
(62 enemy kills) |
| This
is a great "solid" model that has an excellent paint job,
withgood fit and finish, using quality manufacturing techniques. The
canopy is removable so that a Hobby Master pilot can be inserted,
and the landing gear fit beautifully (I used sticky clay to straighten
the gear and keep both legs from coming off). The model's best quality,
of course, is that it is Russian WWII. Hopefully SkyMax will expand
it's line to WWII Yaks and MiGs. (By the way, a "solid"
model is one that doesn't have those troublesome moveable control
surfaces and/or parts that have to be assemble (other than the landing
gear, of course).) |
